Spring and a new bracelet...

Happy Sunday Everyone!
It's been a hot and sunny weekend here in Toronto so far, which makes it a very happy weekend as well! If nothing else, all the rain we're getting this year has made me appreciate the sun so much more and the bright blue skies will never be taken for granted again! :)
Inspired by the lovely weather I took my new camera out in the back yard to take some pictures of the outdoors with it (for the very first time). The backyard had turned into a meadow as the grass wasn't cut throughout the fall and winter. But by the time I finish this blog the meadow will be gone since the grass is being cut as we speak! Here are some shots of the meadow! :)

I think I need to take the camera out a bit more since it seems to have done a pretty good job in these shots! :)
I also took a picture of one of my new jewelry creations which is a bracelet I made couple of weeks ago but never got the chance to take pictures of it. It's really hard to take good pictures on cloudy and rainy days which makes me think I really need to invest in some artificial lighting soon.
Here's a picture of the bracelet which will be listed in my Etsy shop soon.

Let me know what you think of this design! I'm quite in love with the colors of this bracelet.. :)
You can see more of my creations in my Etsy shop pinkdiamonddesign.

Hope you have a lovely and sunny weekend!

Ps. I changed the style of my blog a bit. I think I'm going to play around with it until I find something I really like. :)

Eden's Secret Review

Hello everyone! Hope you all had a great Tuesday so far. I had quite a busy day at work today! I work at a major bank and it's been getting quite hectic lately. Last week I discovered a new way to make the day more relaxing at work. What I do is I listen to my favorite MP3s on my phone while I work and it makes things a little more fun.

Anyways, today after work I had to go to the post office to ship an order and while I was there I found out I have a package to pick up! Of course I got super excited cause I had a feeling it's my package from Eden's Secret, and I was right. :)
Last month as I was going through my handmade beauty product obsession phase (which is not quite over yet) I came across some videos on youtube by a lady named Karen. She runs a company called Eden's Secret and she sells handmade bath and body products. Her soaps looked like works of art to me and I was hooked on her videos from that day on! Couple of weeks after discovering her company and after seeing other people's reviews of her shop I decided I MUST make an order! ha ha

My package took a little over 2 weeks to arrive, which is not bad, considering it was shipped from England. The  package itself was wrapped in this adorable pink wrapping paper which happens to be my favorite color! :)

Here's a picture of my items after I took them out of the box. I used my phone to take the picture so it's not the best quality, but I was too excited to grab the other camera!

As you can see the soaps are very detailed and gorgeous and they are wrapped beautifully. Since I haven't used them yet I can't describe how they feel in the shower (I may do that on a separate post) but I did open the wrappers enough to smell them and they all smell amazing!

Here's what I ordered: Chanel Chance glycerin soap, Rock Candy cold process soap, Cashmere Cake cold process soap, Fairy Dust cold process soap, Angel Skin glycerin soap and Creme Brulee Bubble Bath Cupcake..
Karen was kind of enough to include 3 samples: Almond Milk glycerin soap, Candy Puff cold process soap and Lemon Candies creme silk soap..

I'm sooo excited to use these and Karen if you read this thank you so much and I will be back for more soon! :) <3

Here's a link to her shop and youtube channel for those of you who are interested:

Easter + New Bath and Body store feature! :)

Happy Easter everyone! :) I hope that you are having a great time today whether you celebrate this wonderful day or not..
I have to say although I had a great long weekend so far, I was a little sad to wake up with a cold this morning! But I'm grateful that I got to do most of what I had planned for this weekend and I'm 'almost' ready to go back to work tomorrow! :D
So since I have no choice but to rest and relax today in hopes of getting rid of this cold by tomorrow, I thought I'd write a little blog about one of my newly discovered Etsy bath and body stores!
If you didn't believe me about having a new obsession with handmade bath and body products, I have a feeling you're starting to slowly become a believer! :p

So about a week ago I received my products from an Etsy store called BungalowBathBody. Here are the two products I ordered:

Fruit Smoothie Whipped Soap Scrub with Jojoba Beads - 2 oz Jar - Paraben Free

Pineapple Tangerine Lip Balm
And she was kind enough to include an extra lip balm in my package which was..

Coconut Milk and Peaches Lip Balm

The soap is just as described. It has a great bright pink color that I adore and the scent is very fruity with a hint of bubble gum. I just love it! This soap produces a nice foam and the jojoba beads gently exfoliate the skin.
As an added bonus these whipped soaps are Paraben-Free, Propylene Glycol Free and contain no SLS/SLES. (As mentioned on the listing notes)
All in all a great product!

The lip balms are super creamy and I was pleasantly surprised by how smoothly they glide on your lips. I've kept one at home and took one to work and I've been using them quite often. They both smell delicious and just as described. I totally LOVE them!

Overall I had a great experience shopping at this store and as soon as my products are halfway done I'll probably go back to try more lovely bath and body goodies from them.

I hope that you enjoyed reading this and hope you have a pleasant and happy Sunday evening. :)

Lovely Etsy Finds...

As mentioned in one of my blog posts earlier this week I've developed a little obsession with handmade bath products lately.. :) So a little curiosity and a lot of desire to try something new lead me to try my first set of handmade bath products off of Etsy.. Although I didn't know what to expect, I have to say I wasn't disappointed at all..

So the first shop I'd like to give shout out to is PinkBowBathBoutique! :)
I ordered a sample set of her moisturizing body creams couple of months ago.. I think I received about 10 or 11 samples and they are quite a decent size.. I loved them so much I went back and ordered her spring 2011 sample set as well!!! So all in all I'd say I've tried around 20 different scents of her body butters, whipped body frostings and body souffle goodness...
Picture taken from PinkBowBathBourtique's Etsy shop
OK, where do I begin.. I loved the texture of these creams.. The body frosting and souffle's are lighter and fluffier, and the body butters are rich and creamy.. They smell wonderful and the scents match the descriptions very closely.. I also noticed that the scents last on my skin for quite a long time!

Here are some of my favorites out of the 2 sets..
Blueberry Muffins, Blushing Coral Beaches, Cake Batter Ice Cream, Lime Basil Mandarin, Pink Passion Sand Beaches, Strawberry Creme Brulee, Fresh Apricot Cupcakes,....... YUM!! So hard to pick favorites... definitely recommend that you check out this lovely shop!! :)

++++++++++++++++++++++++++

I also purchased a sample soap set from this lovely Etsy shop named FlourishBathBody!

I just received my package today and I Love them!! I received 4 soaps in my sample set.. Here are the scents I had picked..
Berry Lemonade
Pomegranate Rose
Lavender Wood
Vanilla Amber
The scent is as described and quite lovely! :) I had to pop in the shower and try Berry Lemonade right away and I have to say I'm very satisfied with the quality of the soaps..
I would definitely go back for more of these delicious soaps.. and probably try some other lovely products from this shop as well.. <3

++++++++++++++++++++++++++

I hope you enjoyed reading this and if you did check back here soon as I will have few more of these great Etsy experiences to share with you all! :)

Tomorrow is my weekend off from my full time job and it's also known as my jewelry days! :) This is when I do most of my jewelry making, photography and listing.. I'll be sure to post a few pictures here if I come up with any new designs this weekend.. You can also check them out here PinkDiamondDesign!

Hope you have a great weekend!

Great finds..

Anyone who makes jewelry, or any other type of creative soul out there, probably knows how important and hard it is to keep everything organized! Specially with my jewelry, there are so many beads and findings involved, they are literally taking over my room.
So this weekend while I was out with my mom for a random shopping trip we somehow ended up in Costco.. And look what I found....
=D

I think it's perfect for organizing some of my supplies, although I doubt it would fit all of them! It's still sitting on the floor in my bedroom waiting to be assembled. Probably a weekend project!

Anyways, just wanted to share this because A) I was really excited to find a nice small organizer for my stuff for under $30... B) Something for you to look for if you plan to visit Costco sometime soon.. I think it's great for any crafting supplies or even an extra large make up collection! :)

Have a great evening!!
