Pinterest!!!

Hey everyone!
So I had heard about this website called Pinterest for a few months now and never really bothered to check it. However last week finally I decided to take a look and see what it's all about. Basically it's like an online pin board where you pin your favourite things to your boards for inspiration. You can find boards on food, fashion, photography or anything else you can imagine!
For now the site membership is by invitation only, however you can submit your email and they will contact you when you can join.
I received my confirmation over the weekend and signed up right away. I'm obsessed! I think I spent 3 hours on Sunday just going through different profiles and looking up awesome pictures!

Here's a print screen of some of my current boards:

Click on the picture to go directly to my Pinterest page..

I'm sure I'll spend many hours adding new ideas and inspirations to my page in the coming weeks as it's quite addicting! Any of you have a Pinterest page? :)

Things I'm hoping to add to my creative studio (AKA Bedroom)!

Hey everyone! Hope you all had an amazing weekend! :)
Mine was quite nice. My grandma is visiting and I got to see her after 1 year! So we spent most of yesterday with her which was perfect. And today I got to get some of my other things done around the house.

Lately I've been thinking about getting a few things to improve or assist with my jewelry work. I've had so many ideas in my head over the past few weeks about my new collection and how to present them, etc. However there is one big purchase that I'm still wondering about and that would be buying something similar to these babies:

I've been struggling a lot with lighting when photographing my work and I don't really have a lot of options to do photography outside in the yard due to unpredictable weather conditions in Toronto! So I'm thinking these might help solve some of the problem, however their big price tag is delaying the splurge a little bit! O:-)

I believe photography is very important when you present your creations and I've been hoping to improve on that a bit this year. Of course playing around with my cameras and learning a few things about the different options will make a big difference as well.

If anyone has used or is currently using similar lighting to the picture above I'd love to hear how it's been working out for you and if it's worth spending the big bucks! :D

7 Deadly Sins Beauty Tag

So I decided to do something a bit different today on my blog. I've seen this tag going around in blogs and Youtube a lot lately so I thought why not, I'll do my very first tag blog! So here we go.... :)

7 Deadly Sins Beauty Tag

1. GREED: What is your most inexpensive beauty item? What is your most expensive?
Inexpensive: Probably my Loreal eye make up remover (around $5)
Most expensive: My YSL foundation (too much!)

2. WRATH: What beauty products do you have a love/hate relationship with?
Probably body butters! I don't always feel like I want to put a lot of thick creams on my skin as it takes away the clean feeling sometimes. But sometimes I'm tempted by the delicious smells and use tons.

3. GLUTTONY: What are your most delicious beauty products?
I love my passion fruit and strawberry EOS lip balms. Also still in love with scent of my "Kimono Rose" bath products from Thymes. It's amaaazing!! :)

4. SLOTH: What beauty product do you neglect, due to laziness?
I don't know if it's due to laziness, but I tend to forget my eye cream a lot. And sometimes deep conditioning treatments for my hair!

5. PRIDE: What beauty product gives you the most self confidence?
Probably foundation. My skin has it's good and bad days..

6. LUST: What attributes do you find most attractive in the opposite sex?
Spirituality, selflessness, kindness and an attractive face! :->

7. ENVY: What items would you most like to receive as a gift?
Hmmm.. I appreciate all gifts as it's the thought that counts.. But if I had to pick maybe bath and body products (cause I can never have enough) or a nice book, or something handmade! :)

Hope this was a fun read and I tag anyone and everyone who found it interesting to do this tag! Have a great weekend!!! :D

Spring and a new bracelet...

Happy Sunday Everyone!
It's been a hot and sunny weekend here in Toronto so far, which makes it a very happy weekend as well! If nothing else, all the rain we're getting this year has made me appreciate the sun so much more and the bright blue skies will never be taken for granted again! :)
Inspired by the lovely weather I took my new camera out in the back yard to take some pictures of the outdoors with it (for the very first time). The backyard had turned into a meadow as the grass wasn't cut throughout the fall and winter. But by the time I finish this blog the meadow will be gone since the grass is being cut as we speak! Here are some shots of the meadow! :)

I think I need to take the camera out a bit more since it seems to have done a pretty good job in these shots! :)
I also took a picture of one of my new jewelry creations which is a bracelet I made couple of weeks ago but never got the chance to take pictures of it. It's really hard to take good pictures on cloudy and rainy days which makes me think I really need to invest in some artificial lighting soon.
Here's a picture of the bracelet which will be listed in my Etsy shop soon.

Let me know what you think of this design! I'm quite in love with the colors of this bracelet.. :)
You can see more of my creations in my Etsy shop pinkdiamonddesign.

Hope you have a lovely and sunny weekend!

Ps. I changed the style of my blog a bit. I think I'm going to play around with it until I find something I really like. :)

Eden's Secret Review

Hello everyone! Hope you all had a great Tuesday so far. I had quite a busy day at work today! I work at a major bank and it's been getting quite hectic lately. Last week I discovered a new way to make the day more relaxing at work. What I do is I listen to my favorite MP3s on my phone while I work and it makes things a little more fun.

Anyways, today after work I had to go to the post office to ship an order and while I was there I found out I have a package to pick up! Of course I got super excited cause I had a feeling it's my package from Eden's Secret, and I was right. :)
Last month as I was going through my handmade beauty product obsession phase (which is not quite over yet) I came across some videos on youtube by a lady named Karen. She runs a company called Eden's Secret and she sells handmade bath and body products. Her soaps looked like works of art to me and I was hooked on her videos from that day on! Couple of weeks after discovering her company and after seeing other people's reviews of her shop I decided I MUST make an order! ha ha

My package took a little over 2 weeks to arrive, which is not bad, considering it was shipped from England. The  package itself was wrapped in this adorable pink wrapping paper which happens to be my favorite color! :)

Here's a picture of my items after I took them out of the box. I used my phone to take the picture so it's not the best quality, but I was too excited to grab the other camera!

As you can see the soaps are very detailed and gorgeous and they are wrapped beautifully. Since I haven't used them yet I can't describe how they feel in the shower (I may do that on a separate post) but I did open the wrappers enough to smell them and they all smell amazing!

Here's what I ordered: Chanel Chance glycerin soap, Rock Candy cold process soap, Cashmere Cake cold process soap, Fairy Dust cold process soap, Angel Skin glycerin soap and Creme Brulee Bubble Bath Cupcake..
Karen was kind of enough to include 3 samples: Almond Milk glycerin soap, Candy Puff cold process soap and Lemon Candies creme silk soap..

I'm sooo excited to use these and Karen if you read this thank you so much and I will be back for more soon! :) <3

Here's a link to her shop and youtube channel for those of you who are interested:

Hope you enjoyed this review and I will be back soon with a new post!

Easter + New Bath and Body store feature! :)

Happy Easter everyone! :) I hope that you are having a great time today whether you celebrate this wonderful day or not..
I have to say although I had a great long weekend so far, I was a little sad to wake up with a cold this morning! But I'm grateful that I got to do most of what I had planned for this weekend and I'm 'almost' ready to go back to work tomorrow! :D
So since I have no choice but to rest and relax today in hopes of getting rid of this cold by tomorrow, I thought I'd write a little blog about one of my newly discovered Etsy bath and body stores!
If you didn't believe me about having a new obsession with handmade bath and body products, I have a feeling you're starting to slowly become a believer! :p

So about a week ago I received my products from an Etsy store called BungalowBathBody. Here are the two products I ordered:

Fruit Smoothie Whipped Soap Scrub with Jojoba Beads - 2 oz Jar - Paraben Free

Pineapple Tangerine Lip Balm
And she was kind enough to include an extra lip balm in my package which was..

Coconut Milk and Peaches Lip Balm

The soap is just as described. It has a great bright pink color that I adore and the scent is very fruity with a hint of bubble gum. I just love it! This soap produces a nice foam and the jojoba beads gently exfoliate the skin.
As an added bonus these whipped soaps are Paraben-Free, Propylene Glycol Free and contain no SLS/SLES. (As mentioned on the listing notes)
All in all a great product!

The lip balms are super creamy and I was pleasantly surprised by how smoothly they glide on your lips. I've kept one at home and took one to work and I've been using them quite often. They both smell delicious and just as described. I totally LOVE them!

Overall I had a great experience shopping at this store and as soon as my products are halfway done I'll probably go back to try more lovely bath and body goodies from them.

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
I hope that you enjoyed reading this and hope you have a pleasant and happy Sunday evening. :)
